I'm a full-stack developer/sysadmin in the Bay Area. Born on the west coast, I graduated from CSU Bakersfield with a BS in Computer Science. I've been coding since age 12, starting with Javascript and diving into C a couple years later. With over a decade of education and experience, the sky is still the limit; while the Unix geek in me values the tried and true tools, I'm constantly exploring the newest technologies.
During my scheduled downtime, you can find me keeping up with the open-source world, playing trumpet, travel hacking, and biking.

Jacob has taken three upper-division programming courses from me. His programming skill is in the upper 5% of the hundreds of students I have taught over the past 20 years at CSUB. Jacob has a strong work ethic, completing projects before deadlines while holding down a job off campus. Jacob was always a pleasure to have in class, raising the bar for other students and for me.
Jacob is smart, through, and detail-oriented. He was always two steps ahead with a counter to every problem. It was always a true pleasure to work with Jacob.
Jacob is a very organized and very talented programmer. His code is always readable and he always prefers to follow an object oriented approach to any problem. He loves Linux and is capable of securely setting up any unix server in a matter of hours.
Come visit my GitHub or get in touch at jacob@sporkexec.com. I'm looking for interesting coding issues to dig into and challenging roles keeping systems running and locked down. If this sounds like a promising addition to your team, come see some of what I've done!
